License Agreement

The contractual coverage of each Memory Stick license agreement varies depending on the Memory Stick compliant product that you plan to develop and sell. Please select an appropriate license agreement for your product plan from the options below.

Video products

Your company can design, manufacture and sell Secure Video Format compliant hardware products. These products can record and playback copyright-protected content such as digital broadcast content on Memory Stick PRO media (including Memory Stick Micro media).

If you would like to develop products, you are required to execute “Memory Stick PRO – Secure Video Recording Hardware AGREEMENT” (consisting of two parts).
As a prerequisite condition for signing the above AGREEMENT, you shall execute “Memory Stick PRO – Hardware AGREEMENT” first.

Audio products that playback copyright protected audio content*
*Audio content downloaded through the Internet, digital broadcasts, or via mobile phones, USB/Bluetooth interfaces.

Your company can design, manufacture and sell Secure Audio Format compliant hardware products. These products can record and playback copyright-protected audio contents on Memory Stick PRO media.

If you would like to develop products, you are required to execute “Memory Stick PRO – Secure Audio Recording Hardware AGREEMENT” (consisting of two parts).
As a prerequisite condition for signing the above AGREEMENT, you shall execute “Memory Stick PRO – Hardware AGREEMENT” first.
